Welcome to Papa Haydn Northwest
Papa Haydn Northwest is a New American restaurant located in Portland, Oregon, offering a mix of delectable starters, entrée salads, sandwiches, and mouth-watering desserts. Known for its friendly staff and warm ambiance, this women-owned establishment is a haven for dessert lovers. Boccone Dolce the best! Baked Alaska yummy yet u cannot get it to go. Friendly Staff.Decent dinner & lunch food.Bar Mediocre

We ordered some desserts from Papa Haydn. They were delicious! We ordered a slice of the Mint Tuxedo, Boccone Dolce, Lemon Chiffon Cake, and the Red Velvet Cake. Everything was so light and delicious. They were packaged really well. The Boccone Dolce is the most well0known dessert, very similar to Pavlova which melts in your mouth. I look forward to try other times from Papa Haydn. I cannot comment on the Service or Ambiance, since we ordered for take out.

During our visit to Portland, one of the places I was most excited about was Papa Haydn. They seem to have loads of amazing looking desserts! I saw that they also have tasty looking food too. So was double excited. We were welcomed with warm and friendly staff. And we arrived about 10 minutes before their happy hour ends, which they call "Cocktail Party." We quickly put in our drink orders, Papa Haydn Espresso Martini. It was so good! Strong and sweet, decadent and flavorful. We also ordered some food food from their Cocktail Party. Roasted Cauliflower Bites and Cubano Slider. Cauliflower came in a small, beautiful copper pot. They had a nice amount of cream coating, but cauliflower pieces were a bit harder texture than I preferred. Cubano Slider had an amazing aroma, and packed with flavor. It had melty cheese, every bite was delicious. It came with loads of fresh salad too. Then, from regular menu, we added an order of French Onion Soup ($12). The soup came piping hot! Broth was earthy and flavorful, very comforting. It was a perfect soup! Now, time for desserts! Deciding which dessert to order was not an easy task. Everything looked and sounded so good! There were three of us, and we ordered four desserts in total. Raspberry Gateau was velvety and creamy, very chocolate-y but somehow not heavy. Raspberries were ripe and tart, a great way to balance the sweetness of the chocolate. So good! Baked Alaska had chocolate in the middle that was a bit thick, making it hard to cut/slice to eat. Otherwise, it was delicious! I wish if the cake was a bit bigger, as it was sliced thin. It sure was delightful. Passion was mostly passion fruit mousse with raspberry mousse center. Mousse was light and velvety, and passion fruits puree was amazing! Boccone Dolce is one of their most popular and well-known dessert. This one was quite big, and was like a Pavlova, melt in your mouth. It was just unbelievably delicious, every bite was heavenly! Our visit to Papa Haydn was a success! We enjoyed all the food, drinks, and desserts! The staffs were all friendly and polite. Every dessert was as good as I had hoped. I am so happy we got to go try their desserts!

Late night dessert crawls led us here! A bit upscale to our expectation, but nonetheless that's where the desserts really shined. You're getting very good cakes and desserts, and the prices show for it too. It's definitely overpriced for what it is, but you're getting top of the line dessert cakes alongside with excellent service. Don't skip the Cheesecake! It's very good!

Delicious 10/10, one of my favorite late night pdx spots for dessert. The staff is super knowledgeable and you can sit down and eat or grab desserts for takeout.

This was very good though definitely on the expensive side. We sat in the bar side. Great ambiance and excellent service.

My all time favorite place in Portland Oregon. Every time I come, two must have; any fish option for the day, and Boccone Docle for dessert. The service was good this time, can be better with more frequent water and drink refills. The location is perfect after exploring around on the 23rd. My preferred areas are ones with bigger spaces around the table, but because this is in an older building, space can be limited (cozy).

Omg my mind is blown. I ordered desserts for delivery from Papa Haydn for the first time and I was NOT disappointed. The food was packaged very thoughtfully which I appreciate. Now into the desserts. I got the A'Peel, Brookie, and a chocolate chunk cookie. The A'Peel is SO SO GOOD. Every bite was literal mouth heaven. If you're a fan of peanut butter, chocolate, and banana, this dessert is for you. It also goes with a small side of jam. The brookie was also amazing. It was the perfect size and the perfect combo of brownie and cookie. The chocolate chunk cookie was great! Not as special as the other two desserts but definitely delicious as well. I'm super excited to try more items from here!

Birthday dinner here.. This may be a perfect place to go to if you have lot of sweet tooth's in your family. Having said that do have decent foo options from sandwiches, burgers and a mixed variety of entrees. We took Bay shrimp salad, Haydn burger, Manila clam Bucatini , duck along with baked Alaska and German chocolate cake and it's good. Do we go there again ? Yes of course , but that's for an all exclusive dessert meal

Always a good place to have a meal or just desserts. I like sitting outside during the warm weather. The outdoor chairs and tables reminds me of Paris. I usually order the steak frite, but the last time the portion looked a lot smaller, half of what I've had before. I was told the meat portion is by weight. But I am pretty sure it was a lot less by weight and visually.
